The Nia Ballerina Story

 

We are a mother-daughter duo passionate about promoting diversity and inclusivity in the world of ballet. Our brand was born out of a desire to create representation for little girls who love ballet but may feel excluded due to the lack of diverse products available.

It all began with the Nia Ballerina Music Box, inspired by my own daughter's love of ballet. When I couldn't find a music box featuring a black ballerina figurine, I decided to create one myself. The success of our first product was overwhelming, leading us to expand our line to include the Nia Ballerina Doll, Rucksack, Jigsaw Puzzles, Clothing, and other gift items.

Our mission is to empower girls of all backgrounds and provide them with meaningful representation in the ballet world. We are also developing a series of books about Nia Ballerina's adventures and hope to introduce more diverse ballerina characters to our collection.
